Triple Dip Art Show 2023

Join us for our first annual Triple Dip Art Show! K-12th grade students are allowed 2 entries per person, per category at $10 per entry. Prizes include $100 cash and 1 semester of Crossroads Art House classes for each Grand Prize! 

Queso Level: K-5th Grade. Grand Prize- $100 Cash & one semester of CAH classes! Ribbons will be awarded per grade level for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention. Pending number of entries, categories will be broken down by mediums (drawing, painting, 3D, etc) and students might be able to receive gift cards or smaller cash amounts along with first and second place ribbons! 

Salsa Level: 6th-8th- $150 Cash & one semester of CAH classes! Ribbons will be awarded per grade level for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention. Pending number of entries, categories will be broken down by mediums (drawing, painting, 3D, etc) and students might be able to receive gift cards or smaller cash amounts along with first and second place ribbons! 

Guac Level: 9th-12th Grade- $300 Cash & one semester of CAH classes! Ribbons will be awarded per grade level for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention. Pending number of entries, categories will be broken down by mediums (drawing, painting, 3D, etc) and students might be able to receive gift cards or smaller cash amounts along with first and second place ribbons!

You can register online or in person when you drop off your artwork Entries will be accepted April 25th-29th & May 2nd between 2 and 8pm at Crossroads Art House. 2914 N. Laurent St. Victoria, TX 77901 Hanging of the show will take place May 4th, 2023. Judging will take place the week of May 1st For drop off concerns, call/text 719-722-4115 ∙ Reception and awards ceremony will be at 6pm on May 5th, 2023 The public is invited so feel free to bring your family and friends! The show will hang until May 20th. Youth artists and teachers need to pick up art work between 2 and 8pm on between 5/23 & 5/27 Entries not picked up by 8pm on 5/27/23 will become the property of Jupiter Horizons Gallery. ****Rules & Regulations - Rules must be followed for entries to be accepted! Youth K-12 may enter 2 pieces of artwork. Entry fee is $10 per piece of artwork. Fill out a registration form online. Teachers may fill out a paper form. No copying or tracing. Art work concept, design, and execution must be the original work of the student artist. Teachers and Parents: please do not enter works that you have physically aided the student with. Verbal directions and advice are allowed. Class assignments are allowed. No bought kits or crafts allowed. Youth 2-D art work must be matted and mounted on a sturdy backing (stiff cardboard or foam board for example, mats may be poster board). A wire hanger or string must be attached across the back. Framed art work with a wire hanger is acceptable.. Art work will not be accepted if not properly prepared for hanging and display. Paintings on gallery wrapped canvas (1"- 3" thick stretched canvas that does not have staples on the sides) do not need a frame or mat, but must be painted on all sides and have a wire hanger. 3-D -Three dimensional pieces must be able to be moved easily by two people and must be sturdy enough for transport. Jupiter Horizons Gallery is not responsible for any damages that may incur during the show. Youth artists may choose to sell their work but must have a parent signature on the entry form. Art Categories Accepted 2-D Drawing: Includes any single or mixed combination of charcoal, pencil, colored pencil, scratchboard, marker, crayon, pastel, and ink. Painting: Includes any single or mixed combination of oil, acrylic, watercolor, and tempera Mixed Media: Combining two or more different media in a work of art less than 2" in depth. Photography Includes Photographs and Digitally Enhanced Photographs. Printmaking: linoleum block, styrofoam block, lithograph, screen print 3-D Sculpture: Sculptures may be made from any 3-D materials but must be sturdy enough for transport and must be easily moved by two people. Pottery Mixed Media: 3-D combinations of materials 2" or more in depth. I do not hold the Jupiter Horizons Gallery, Crossroads Art House, Karissa Winters, Claire Santellana, anyone working on the show or volunteering with the show, or the venue responsible for loss, damage, or theft of artwork before, during, or after the Triple Dip Art Show. I agree to pick up my art work between May 23rd and 27th 2023. Art work that is not picked up by the end of the day on 5/27/23 will become the property of Jupiter Horizons Gallery. I have read and agree to all of the show rules and regulations. I understand my artwork/child’s artwork may be used in Jupiter Horizons Gallery or Crossroads Art House publications, newsletters, Facebook, website, or local television and newspaper media concerning the art show. I agree to allow Jupiter Horizons Gallery and Crossroads Art House to contact me regarding upcoming shows, events, and other happenings related to the organizations. I understand that I can unsubscribe from those contacts at anytime by notifying Jupiter Horizons Gallery at jupiterhorizonsgallery@gmail.com or Crossroads Art House by emailing crossroadsarthouse@gmail.com.
